Being a parent of two takes on a whole other level when the flu bug worms its way into the house. Dillon and Rose are sweet, though, Rose is just today starting to get sick (after I've already been off two days with Dillon). And when I say "off", its no freaking vacation. I'd rather work twelve hour days at work than be home with sick kids. Unfortunately, the schools frown on sending germy, gross kids to school…
All three of us managed to sit still for an hour while I read Dillon one of these 'chapter' books he's into, "The Magic Tree House"… It was pretty amazing, since Rose is usually too high-energy to sit still for a board book, let alone a book that's sixty or so pages long! But it all worked out, which I am taking as further evidence that Rose is getting sick as well. Doh!
